Strange late afternoon light made the clouds and contrail black. Deep fresh snow made the "trail breaker" earn his keep.
Warmer air moving in caused cancellation of Saturday's ski.

The 1900 foot climb to the summit of the East Butte of Municipal Ridge kept us warm despite the minus 14 temp.

Saturday Dec 5th Margareta Hogeling led 8 of us to the NW top of Municipal Creek ridge. It snowed all day, making for great skiing, but little visibility.

Today 6 of us skied to the top of East Butte km 48 of the Ok Falls Forest Service Road. Wonderful visibility. Could even see the Selkirk Mountains shining on the horizon to the far north east! Saturday on our club ski we could only see the trees near at hand. .

3 of us checked out skiing conditions on the "Strayhorse" road network west of Apex Mountain; and found them to be amazingly good for this early in the season.

22 climbed above and south of the See Ya Later vineyards to cliffs above Vaseux Lake.

Today found 3 more humps forming the summit of the km 10 summit. Larches glowed golden.

Perfect weather to visit the GlenFir and Adra tunnels on the KVR; as well as checking out the 7 Rock Ovens used to dry the dynamite in 1913 used for blasting out the railway right of way.
