June 20 - Ridge above yellow lake

17 of us appreciated the cool breezes as we climbed the relentless steep, dusty sections to the top. Great views.
Showers threatened to the south. Alpine flowers almost non existent due to severe dry conditions. Descent required extra care because of dry loose earth.

June 13 - Mount KEaghan's South and middle summits

Nick Pitt led 24 of us to Keaghan's South & Middle Summits. With an 8 am start and a light breeze we had a comfortable hike.

June 6 - Mount Laidlaw's summits

Cool temps and a breeze made for a pleasant climb. One rattler stretched across the trail decided it was much safer being a snake in the grass.

Rattler Halfway Summit East to Okanagan Lake Summit

May 23 - Kruger Mountain

20 of us went to the view point near Kruger Mt's summit. One of our tougher hikes . 2300' elevation gain. We need to drink lots more H2O in summer heat. There were many flowers ,the bitterroot especially stunning. Dick was our sweep and he's in position in the 3rd picture.

May 13 - Mount Hawthorne

Three of us re-opened, and marked  the upper lava bench route to Hawthorne's summit, amid a mass of Balsam Root flowers.

May 9 - Mcintyre Bluff

23 of us hiked up from Covert Farm. Lots of Phlox, Balsam Root. Thunderheads threatened, but weather remained ideal.

May 6 - Mount Keagan's 3 peaks

4 of us worked our way onto Keagan's 3 peaks, and almost got blown off.

May 2 - Hike Mount MacLellan

Dick Kornelsen led a large group to the top of MacLellan's ridges. Beautiful weather, lots of Okanagan sunflowers.

April 25 - South-east of Okanagan Falls

20 of us, led by Guenter Hoernig , did a scenic circuit, climbing 3 ridges in open sage brush and pine country.

April 22 - Mount Keagan

Climbed off main summit and then up a secondary summit to the north. Quite a gale blowing.

April 18 - Volcano Mountain

31 of us hiked to the spectacular summit of Volcano Mountain with its lava hoodoos, sheer drop-offs, massive crevasses and panoramic views.

April 15 - Exploratory Hike: Ochre Cliff, MacIntyre canyon, Eagle Bluff

Six of us checked out a new route for our Eagle Bluff hike. Buttercups and ticks were out!.

April 4 - Allendale Road Hike

Here is a picture I took at lunchtime with Mt. Parker in the background. We could also see Sheeprock and Brent Mountain. 16 people enjoyed the warmer temperatures. Lots of buttercups and no woodticks.
