Saturday 28 Penticton Outdoors club members climbed the full length of the ridge north of White Lake Observatory, known as Mount MaLellan.
An amazing array of flowers, plus a wandering cinnamon bear and her two cubs added to the sights.

A somewhat steep hike, getting warm towards the top.. Great views all the way.

Flowers were less plentiful with the persisting cool weather, but a nice variety were seen. Rain held off fortunately.

Despite showers 29 Penticton Outdoors Club hikers reached the 6 summits of the "White Lake Crossover" on Saturday.

Wednesday 6 of us from the Penticton Oudoors Club checked out the Mount MacLellan (south of White Lake Observatory)  
route in preparation for a club hike there in June. A new descent route passing a marshy lake was tried, but it proved less scenic and "user friendly".

Saturday 29 POC members enjoyed fine weather hiking to the rugged summit area of Volcano Mountain;
where the whole top seems to be splitting apart and working down in massive chunks to the Trout Creek canyon far below.

Eight of us marked an extension route on Mount Keaghan in perfect weather.
