It was my first ski for one whole year. fortunately it went well, and the snow conditions were great. Unfortunately lighting was iffy, and distant landscapes were obscured by an incoming storm. On our return we had a heavy snowfall. There were 8 of us. We skied directly south on the western slopes of Beaconsfield and Apex Mountains. There were several clear cuts just put in last summer. These afforded us extensive new views to the south and west. So clear cuts are not all bad.
